Sidewalks and and a few driveways less than 1000sq.ft.= snow blower and snow shovel
Residential Driveways over 1000sq.ft= Plow and snow shovel
Commercial Parking Lots & Roads= Plow, Snowblower, and snow shovel
You can snowblow any residential driveway, but how long do you want to be out in the cold doing it? I would say if you have over 5 plow contracts for residential or 1 commercial contract, get a plow and use a shovel until you can buy a snowblower...
Good luck!Steve

get the snow plow and use a shovel for the places that you would need the blower. another suggestion would be if you don't want to spend alot of time in the cold shoveling then get yourself a rider so when you are plowing your rider can be shoveling. i am trying this method out this year, but i've been told that it works pretty good. of course this also depends on the number of clients that you have.

If your doing smaller res. drives & or most of your drives have cars parked on them & or most drives end with a garage door then use a single stage snowblower such as the Toro 3650 or Toro Snow Commander.
I trailer blowers rather than plow these type of drives & a crew of 2 can knock off 3 drives with single stage blowers while a plow truck struggles with 1.
