  • subcontract plowing price per hr.....

Have been asked to plow for in addition to my accts for a contractor in my area. The $ would be around $60.00 per hr. My question is, is this enough? Is this a fair $ figure for a pickup plow & driver, myself? Any thoughts, input, suggestions appreciated.

Whatever it's worth, snow plowing contractors round here charge 'bout $60-70/hr. (this isn't even sub-contracting)

One such contractor runs a fleet of 10+ plow trucks....obviously he's still making money?

Are you getting paid for the time you are out in the snow, or just on the property?

as has been said many times on here, know your cost for you running that truck and plow and figure is it worth it. what do you make for doing your own clients? plus will this interfere with your deal?

Will have to find out for sure. He's supposed to be getting back to me, I figured $60.00 hr was fair, that was his offer, & I already had that number in my mind.

I typically have grossed around $100.00- $125.00 hrly on my jobs. Will have to see if I can fit it around my clients, they come first, but the $$$$$ would be good. I do have two plow trucks, so it allows me some options, as in having someone help with my jobs.
