  • Can Anyone Give Me Some Good Advice

I need help on the basics for plowing commercially. I have a chance to sign a church that has about 1200 car spaces. Is there a formula for biding commercial accounts? I have only done residential. The ones that are $25.00 a pop. They want a bid for 0-2 inches, 2-4 inch and so on. I don't want t his opportunity to pass me up. They also want me to salt. I know salt is about $100 a ton, how much does that cover?I have one GM 2500 with a 8'2 v boss. They want me to bid by the paying seasonal, this is a big job. How long would something like this take me. Everyone i ask for help thinks I'm crazy, i don't have anyone i can ask so here i am.I'm really needing some help, any suggestions? Anything you can offer will help. Im really itchin to get this job. moore_mowing1@yahoo.com

Any idea on the dimensions? Are there alot of islands, obstacles or is it pretty straight plowing? A ton of salt will do that parking lot easy per application. What kind of salter are you using? If bulk do you have a way of storing and loading it? If not, you have to go pick it up and figure your time in.

    Good luck

            One post wonder

Like I said I'm not quite sure of the dimensions. This is my firs year commercially plowing. I have a chance to do some sub work, i might go that route. How would i find out the dimensions?

measuring wheel. That's how I do it, you can't always trust dimensions that someone else gives you.

That sounds big for one truck but it might be possible.

One question i have, except for sunday's, dose it have to be all done by a certin time each morning.

If you want, pm me the address and i'll look at the satellite picts and tell ya what i think.
