  • Those that refuse to pay

Hey guys, I recently got a few snow storms around my area and one of the store fronts that i shovel for refuses to pay for the last storm. The guy is foreign and says he doesnt under stand what the invoice means and even when i show him he tells me he doesnt want to pay. I droped the account is there anything else you think i should do. I was going to get him to sign a contract this time becasue the last storm was a spure of the moment thing for me to shovel for him.

    Thanks Jeff

Take out a small classified ad in "sales micellanious" that says that So and So shop keeper stiffed me over paying his snow removal bill and sign your name and company. Run it for a couple of weeks.

Classifieds and Obits are the most read sections of the newspaper. It's called tit for tat.

I would normally suggest collections or small claims court, but it sounds like its not a pile of money owed. A former customer who was a retired Airforce Kernel did that fairly often when he didn't get customer service. He always said that free press produced wonderful results!

Funny he understood what all that stuff meant when he hired you to do the work. Maybe he is taking advantage of your age. Keep after him is best you can do. You can threaten him legally, (although for that amount of money it wouldnt be worth it) but just the threat alone works alot of times.

Load up a truck full of snow and dump it on the sidewalk around midnight?

Ron Howard: Is that... vodka... and wheat grass?
Homer: It's called a "lawnmower". I invented it. Want one?

Plow his entrance closed next time it snows. And if you'd really want to miff the dude, drop off a garden trowel as a gift. You think he'd understand that?:laughing::laughing:
