Two years ago, snowed enough on Christmas eve 1 had to get out and plow the day away. At least Christmas was salvaged.
Last year, Christmas blizzard. Loads of snow, and 40MPH winds. Stayed home, as everyone did.
This year: Calling for freezing rain late tomorrow switching over to snow for Christmas eve. Could be several inches they say. This would be the first measurable snowfall we've had this season. Fantastic.
At least the new snow blower arrived today. Cranked up the other one yesterday. The third one needs a part. The plow is ready to go. Just haven't pulled the spreader off the shelf yet.
I just hope the storm misses us completely. Entering into the snow season I thought I'd get off easy and have little to no plow work other than residential drives. Found out a couple weeks back the stupid government extended a contract I have with them until April - guess I have no say in the matter. In Junk City, I regrettably landed plow work for 6 convenience stores, two of which are open 24 hrs and need frequent visits during heavy snowfalls. Got a call the other with the go ahead to plow for a commercial site I put a bid on in October. And then you have all the damn driveways that gotta get cleared. So much for an easy winter....I guess in the end it pays good though.
