Do you mow 1st, then edge/trim? What order do you use?

how about edge, trim then blow the clippings on to lawn because i am bagging all lawns then cut then just touch up what you need i am all about quality not quanity i will do the extra steps if needed

what exactally are you guys edging you should be able to trim and that will give you your edge sound like to me you wasting alot of time on edging instead of trim, mow and blowing off

i start by string trimming around all beds, trees, sheds, light posts, etc. then i use a stick edger to edge the sidewalks and driveways. i then mow the yard and of course after that i blow things off.

i would love to use the trimmer to do the sidewalk and driveway edging and i actually use to. i've found that my clients prefer the stick edger and IMO it doesn't take but 30 sec's to do and thats only because your running back to the trailer to get trade off the trimmer for the edger.

i have a route planned at each site though that i start at the trailer and end at the trailer with everything i do except for blowing. i don't always end at the trailer depending on the wind direction.

Edge, Mow, Trim, Blow. Seems to be the easiest and has the least cleanup. For lawns that have been neglected i recommend trimming before mowing so you can mulch some of the high grass. If dont trim and then mow it over it tends to leave the lawn looking like an amateur serviced it.

It depends but usually we mow first, trim/edge, then blow.

If the lawns real long I would sugest mowing as close as you can to things that need to be trimmed than trim. The reason is the grass and weeds that grow around trees and along the sides of the house and other areas seem to grow faster and they are hard to trim, if you mow close you know how low to go to keep a uniformed look with the rest of the grass and your trimmer will spread the trimmings out so you can mow them after you do your outline when you do your pattern. If you know the yard well enough you shouldnt need to Trim, if you do know it well enough you can trim it up first, I agree with the Trim Edge Mow and Blow

Mow, edge, trim, blow...not much to edge on my accounts though. Overgrown accounts I trim, mow, edge, touch up trim if necessary and blow.
