  • Standing Pine Harvest Values?

    Hi all!
I have 7 Pine Trees on my yard that borders 2 streets. They have gotten very large, and are growing into the streets, I live on a corner lot. I was wondering if these trees had any timber value? How big does a Pine tree have to be, so it has some value to a timber harvestor? I have a couple of Pix. The second tree have a circumfrense of 63" at about 4 feet above the ground. All the trees are above 40 to 50 feet high.
    Many thanks, Ted

For lumber value, they won't be worth much considering the wood will be full of knots as a result of all the lower limbs. High dollar timber has little to no visable branch unions on a good majority of the truck.

      Paper wise...good wood.

No idea on price though. Years ago I sold oak and walnut trunks to a mill here and thought it wasn't even worth the hassle.
