RKBrown, I'm glad you took no offense, I really didn't mean any. I was mearly looking down the road as that photo keeps getting reproduced or put on t-shirts. It looks fine, but I was only speaking of the reproduction. It would be impossible to embroider that on a shirt. And would be difficult to constantly reproduce. Expense is not what I am speaking of. I am just speaking from experience and how it will be a few years from now. You're a good man buddy.

Chuck, your ego is only exceeded by you bloated website.

I was merely informing Scaper S2k that many larger successful business' do not have the need or inclination to reproduce their logo in black and white. It really depends on the market you are after and the image you want to portray.

Thank you Gentlemen for the compliments, much appreciated.

Zack, I clearly said that it SHOULD look good if needed to be reproduced in black and white (which it will be eventually by someone). Nothing to do with whether it COULD be a photo reproduced.

You are arguing something completely opposite. There is a difference between color in a logo and photo quality. My logo has color in the leaves, but I surely did not take a photo of a maple leaf to reproduce.

Can you think of ANY major logo that uses a photo, and that DOESN'T look good when copied into black and white? They do it for a reason.

Reading up on how to design a proper logo will tell you that it needs to be EASILY reproduced. And with few colors. A photograph (even of just grass) has about 200 different shades of color. Yeh, try to embroider that on your shirt.

The logo above looks fine, I mearly said they may consider solid green with a few 'drawn' blades of grass.

I like the old saying I heard one time.....Quality is like oats, If you want nice fresh clean oats you have to pay a fair price.....however if you can be satisfied with oats that has already been through the horse then that comes a little cheaper<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
