Last October I bought a used 1994 Toro hydro walk with a 62" deck and a 18hp Kohler magnum with 1100 (two home owner) hours for $1000.
Well last fall I had some electrical issues with this machine. So in March I swapped out the 275 amp battery of questionable age and origin for a 425 amp battery (with a 2/05 date of manufacture) from the autozone.
This simple fix did the trick and I have installed new taller front castor wheels and tires and a new set of 15" drive tires plus all new belts.
My Toro sit down sulky has also a new pair of tires so I can sit down and run a 7 mph while still leaving a quality cut in a single pass on my sports fields.
Pictures to follow.
