Was loking at the Redmax 8000 today and my dealer started pushing the Echo PB 651 for $100 less claiming that that there is not much difference in power. Needed for leaf work this fall. Any comments will be appreciated.

I have an Echo pb620 and absolutely love it. Never fails to start and has plenty of power to get the job done. I might be mistaken but isn't there a bigger echo blower than the 651? I thought there was a 700 series. maybe notWe do the impossible, because it limits the competition

How about try the redmax 7001 ... it is more then enough power and its cheaper then the 8000... and a little lighter... Im not sure what the echo runs price wise but i know the redmax 7001 should be in the low to mid 400 range. I used to use echo ... now im switching to redmax... i love my redmax edger and weedeater .. using a kawasaki blower right now but im about upgrade to the redmax 7001 which i use my old partners enough to know i love it.

I bought a REDMAX 8000 last month. It was either a street blower or a 8000. I made the right choice. If you are good at blowing a 8000 is 25 to 30% faster than a 7001 for doing small parking lots. Parking lots that are 20 to 30 cars it is untouchable, the 8000 is faster than the street blower and back pack combo for that job. I had a 650 ECHO, I will never buy another!
