What do you think this person's life expectancy is, I would say not very long at all. Let someone else kill the Thieving SOB, the after effects are not worth it. In my eyes only, it would be a different story if he came into my home trying to rob or hurt someone in my family.

For someone to come to my home, they drive past 2 No Trespassing Signs & 2 Private Property Signs going down my longazz driveway. They are breaking the law when they drive past them. I have a series of motion detector lights that start going off when you are withing 200 feet or so of my house, my 13.5 lb Highly trained attack K9 dog "Roscoe" will bark if the lights come on or even if he sees a moths shadow. He's trained to bark until someone tells him to shut up or gives him beer or a treat. He's a very good barker!

Everybody knows what to do with the bear except the man that's got him. I would have done exactly what you did then I would have first gave thanks to God when I got up on my knees before standing up.

If it happens again to you, I would think it's God telling you it's time to relocate.

About 23 or 24 years ago I went to visit a friend of mine that lived near Miami. I don't remember exactly where. We were going to where he works at, we are getting ready to leave...

He pulls his wallet out, removes his license & money. I asked him why. He said there is this area that he's been robbed twice sitting at red light. I said go a different way, he said it takes too long.

I took my Stainless Steel Ruger Security Six .357 Magnum, all you do is aim, most of the time it works. Sure enough when we get to that area, a guy comes near drivers side, I reach over & pull hammer back & lay it on drivers door. LOL the guy starts screaming, all he wanted was a cigarette.

My buddy told me I can't carry gun in car anymore with him. I told him to leave a $20 in the wallet so the guy doesn't kill him for being broke all the time. I also suggested that he move & make less money so he can live longer.

About 3 or 4 months later, he was suppose to go for a morning jog with neighbor. Something happened & he couldn't go. Somebody pulled up next to neighbor jogger a few blocks away & blew his head off with shotgun...

My buddy quit his job the next day when he found out about his neighbor. I feel sorry for the neighbor, never drank, never smoked so he really never partied in his life & got killed for trying to live longer. That SUX, my buddy is still alive & raises hell all the time. He's had a heart attack but at least he didn't get his brains blowed out for Jogging so he could live longer!

Every year around April the 15th I get ripped off of at least 35% or more of my gross income, I would never kill them for that.

It's been in print several times that at least 40% of all deaths in hospitals could have been prevented, but I would never carry a gun in one. LOL, there's more hold ups done in the Hospital's in one month than at all the Retail stores for a year combined.

Life is not fair, but it's just... BTW: You must be a Republican! God's umbrella of safety is over all of us? At least it seems that way!

Some people on this forum have been watching too much TV lol Where it is to your advantage not to have a gun it seems if the other guy has one.
It would take the robber a split second to blow you away if you made any sudden moves. YOu would have to yank that gun out of you pocket at the speed of light and then you still have to pull the trigger. All he has to do is pull the trigger. He is going to see that you are not pulling keys out.

I dont think anybody would know what they would do until that time comes.

I carry a concealed gun in certain areas and keep looking around at all times to make sure no one is approaching. That is the key. Always be alert to your surroundings. If you see someone walking toward you then shout at them to stay away or stay back that you are armed. YOu dont want to have to show them your gun because in some areas of the country it is illegal to do that. Just warn them that you have one and tell them to stay away

Its a big decision to pull a weapon on somebody just approaching you. Lets say you pull the weapon and the potential robber is unarmed. He panicks and grabs your weapon. In the struggle he gets the weapon away from you and shoots you(this happens ALOT to policeman) Or you shoot an unarmed man. If the man is black it be you luck and get a black jury and go to jail for long time
A new gun is coming out that recognizes your fingerprints and wont fire unless you are holding it. Police are getting these soon

Yeah, you're right. But, the average crackhead or petty burgular looking for stuff to pawn for drugs is going to pass the house or apartment with the 90lb German Sheppard going ape***** at the front door. Plus, when my girlfriend walks the dogs around after work at 11:00PM in the city, people cross to the other side of the street to stear clear of them.

You're correct though, a professional criminal will know how to deal with a dog. I still feel it's a major deterent.

One statistic you forgot. Cops are notoriously HORRIBLE shots. EVen though they have to qualify every so often, they are still horrible shots. The national average is that a cop hits his target 25% of the time on the first shot. That means they MISS 75% of the time on their first shot.

Any time you want to see a display of my marksmanship, I'll be happy to oblige you. I was awarded Pro-Marksman, Marksman, Marksman 1st class, Marksman 2nd class, Marksman 3rd class, and Sharpshooter ranks by the NRA when I was 10 years old. That was with a .22 caliber single shot rifle at 50 feet, with open iron sights. Some shootists (and yes, that is the correct term, SHOOTIST) are BORN. I had done very little shooting up to that point in my life. Some informal plinking and the like.

Since that time I have shot more rounds than you could possibly count. On many days in the winter I have exceeded 2,000 rounds (in a single day) at an indoor range. Most cops don't shoot that much in a YEAR.

You go ahead and use your limp-wristed liberal techniques should you ever find yourself on the wrong end of a firearm. Maybe offer the punk some hot gay sex, or a BJ. Maybe it will work for you, maybe it won't.

My point is, the good guys should be informed, armed, and proficient. Your bellowing against it shows your true cowardice.
