I think it would help.I think the people that are in charge keeping price gouging from happening should be fired, they are not doing anything from what I can see.

Glory Halelujah! With a very few exceptions, this is the first reasonable and civil thread that I've seen concerning fuel prices.

On every other thread I've seen on this and several other forums about half of the posters are looking for someone to hang and for a tall tree to hang him from.

This is tough, I'm not taking anything away from it, but we must keep it in perspective. While cars, trucks, food, real estate and most everything else has tripled in cost in the last 23 years or so, gas prices have remained about the same. It has finally caught up with us. It is supply and demand and there is no individual that is responsible for it. Things happen.

I am old enough that I've seen this movie before. I was a young man during the oil embargo of the seventies. We went through two periods of long gas lines in about 73 and 79. Not only were we paying 3 or 4 times as much, but we had to wait in long lines to get it.

My regular gas station went from $2.46 for regular on Monday to $2.69 yesterday.

      Good luck,
      Doc

I started this thread on 8-30 gas was 2.739....I filled up this a.m. and it was 3.199 per gallon...these rising prices are getting out of hand....the pumps here in savannah are now coming with a little vaseline for every gas purchase so we can take it a little easier

The hole thing is BS. We are paying $3 plus for gas that was purchased at 2 weeks ago prices. What ever is in the undertank was purchased at cheaper prices the new future gas prices. I agree with Dvon except they are actually making you pay for the vaseline as well.

Gas went down. It was $3.119 when I went to school in the morning. This one gas station down the street, after school ended, went down to $2.939. That gas station now is out of order. But the gas prices went up just $0.50 in just eight hours. That is $0.70 this week already. Another gas station is out of order, too. But they aren't the main ones like BP and Spectrum, though.

30% of the oil that comes into the US comes up through the mississippi river.

We are paying $3.19 now in Iowa for Regular Unleaded.
We bid accounts last fall at $1.89 per gallon. The gas companies are flat out screwing the consumer.

The people who raise the Gas to 5 and 6 dollars should be taken out to New Orleans and dropped in the middle of the looting with their winfalls in hand! that would be justice and fun to watch LOl! shoal
