my basic service is really what the client will pay for. basic service is mowing the turfed areas, string trimming and blowing off the sidewalks and drive ways. if they wanna pay the bagging charge i'll bag the clippings. otherwise my 52" wb side discharges and my 36" wb mulches.

What Spotty said. Except for bagging, I don't bag anything.

i only mulch and discharge and then it depends what makes my time the fastest. this week i have mulched all yards except for three. i do bag for one guy in november and then it's only like two cuts. i also offer MILF services.

Either Mulching or Discharging is better for the grass because it puts Nitrogen back into the soil, rather than carting off the cuttings. I believe its 1 acre of grass per season puts 1 pound of nitrogen back into the soil. I may be wrong on the numbers but thats the jist of it.

forget the what is best stuff for the lawn. MULCH KIT rules. there is so much less clean-up and it looks so much cleaner if done right with the proper equipment. less clean-up = more $$$$$.

no i will perform these services at a fee, fee depends on how bad the lawn is. you have to consider approx. how many bags will be used, that you have to stop and empty the bagger and fill up the bags, plus hauling ect ect, which all comes back to more time spent on that lawn....depends on how much you want per hour and for wear and tare and supplies, off the top

It's said mulching throughout the entire growing season recycles approx 1 lb of N per 1000SF, or the same as one application of fertilizer.

Full mulch kit in winter...remove baffles in late spring but leave discharge plate and gator blades. Reason... my Bobcat's clump in heavy st. Augustine growth with full kit attached. Discharge plate makes it easier to keep grass out of planting beds and still leaves a nice clean look.

again another person who uses bags to haul the clippings...........

hasn't anyone ever heard of dumping the clippings into a barrel and then dumping that into the truck bed?????? it's so much quicker than trying to fill bags.

when i do bag i walk the catcher straight to the truck bed. i only dump the catcher once or twice. in the back yard i bring a 55 gallon drum i cut in half and put handles and a rope on. i fill that then when it gets full i run it to the truck bed. at the end of the day i stop and dump my truck bed at the compost site.
