anyone else not getting any calls?
Youll get customers. Its been sun up to sun down up here for a week now. Wasnt much better beginning of march except for a surprise snow storm. Im running off existing customers right now. I havent slated many new yet this year ,, just a few. Just remember your earning your wings,, best way to make them strong is do everything in your power to keep an account once you get it,, than as years go on you dont stress as much at this point in the game about new accounts. 3/4 of my schedule was written at this same time last year. Its all repeat.

I know how you feel I have been advertising for about 3 weeks and have had one call to plow up a guys back yard so he could plant a garden. Just stay postive and look for other ideas to get your name out there. I'm going to do some direct mailings to the local business and try to get some flyers posted around town. Just want to get my name out there and maybe it will be a little easier next year if iI can gget and keep some customers.

      Good Luck

        Try this instead:

Never hesitate to talk to people. Network. You never know when a homeowner or a business owner may be looking for someone.. Be sure to have business cards ready!

Also... Talk to all the folks you know. Tell them that you’re in the business and offer referral incentives if they bring you new business.

        Network. Network. Network.

        Good luck!
this is the best idea, talk it up let them know you don't have many spots left time is running out. face time is KING

I am in the mountains of NC and we have cut a couple of lawns and there is some that is still preety slow to grow do to the cold snaps we have had this March. The best thing that I have found is get some 130lb paper and make some door hangers you can make 3 per sheet and go door to door and quote a price on it for regular maintaince. I have done this and picked up several good accounts in the same neighborhood. We are just starting to get calls from the phone book but I would say in about a week we will be flooded with calls due to it being nice now and to come by watching the weather mid 70's.

Livin Lovin Lovin Livin its all good!!!!!!!!!!!

If you've got a sign on your truck or trailer, park with your equipment on the entrance roads to choice sub-divisons after normal work hours. If the people see you, alot of the times on an impluse, they'll stop and ask if you have time for their yard. Beats sitting by the phone.
