One other thing to think about, when dealing with rock beds try to go at least double the diameter of the rock in depth in order to get full coverage. In other words, if your dealing with 1 1/2 inch rock, go to a depth of 3 inches to insure proper coverage.
Or if dealing with baited hooks, try sticking to artificial worms rigged in perhaps a Carolina rigging.
