thought i would share this with you boys as i sit here drinking a cold beer.
on my yards that i did split applications on using Cavalcade with the first apps on march 9 and 10 and the second app on may 15 and 16 using Barricade, no crabgrass at all. i have one yard that the lady only got the march 10 app because she cancelled her program (still mowing though) and her yard has just alittle sprouting up. i also have one yard where the guy waited to get back to me. his apps were done on march 26 and may 16 using Cavalcade and Barricade as well and his yard is starting to show some also, not alot, but enough that i don't like it. now here's where timing really shows as i have three more yards that came on late as well. one, i did an april 9 app using Dimension and a may 16 app using Barricade. the other two got there apps on april 18 using Dimension and their final apps on may 16 using Barricade as well. these three yards are loaded with crabgrass and the customers were warned to expect this because of their procrastinating. as you can see that early march app along with that mid may app does the job as it always has for me since i started this mess. i usually start a week early but this past march we got 12" of snow and 10 degree temps that first week of march followed by 80 degree temps that weekend. remember this is hooterville and this might not work in your region so use soil temps like i do. it does work.........................
